About the service

MathAnvil is a web-based tool that generates maths problems, step-by-step solutions and print-ready PDFs. By using MathAnvil you agree to these terms.

Who can use MathAnvil

• The free tier is open to everyone and requires no account.
• Plus and Pro require a user account and an active subscription.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Teachers, tutors and parents may create accounts on their own behalf for use with students.

Use of generated worksheets

• All problems are generated algorithmically and are free of third-party copyright.
• Free users may use generated worksheets for personal teaching and home use.
• Plus users may additionally use worksheets in their own classroom teaching.
• Pro users may use worksheets commercially, including paid tutoring and publishing in their own teaching materials.
• Reselling unmodified MathAnvil worksheets as a standalone product is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to circumvent usage limits, scrape data in bulk, abuse the API, reverse-engineer the service, or use MathAnvil for anything illegal. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Payment and cancellation

• Plus and Pro are billed monthly or annually in advance.
• You can cancel at any time. Existing subscriptions remain active through the end of the paid period.
• We do not offer automatic refunds. Contact support@mathanvil.com if something is wrong.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days notice.

Disclaimer

Problems are generated deterministically by SymPy and are mathematically verified. We do not however guarantee that every problem is pedagogically appropriate for every situation. You are responsible for evaluating whether the problems are suitable for your classroom or your child. The service is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind.

Limitation of liability

Our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the home page or by email. By continuing to use the service after an update, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes will be handled by the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as the proper venue.
